WATER AND ENERGY SAVING
AZUD HELIX AUTOMATIC backwashes only one station at a time. The remaining stations stay in filtration mode and continue to supply the installation.
FILTRATION STAGE. The Helix generates a centrifugal helical effect which moves the larger particles away from the discs. This allows the discs to concentrate on removing the finer particles without build up of the larger particles on the filtration surface.
BACKWASHING STAGE The filtered water is introduced in reverse through the filtering element which decompresses the stack of discs, starting the backwash. The solids are expelled from the discs and are then evacuated through the drainage manifold.
The filtration process starts again with the compression of the discs.
